Unfortunately, we won't know if this image is real or not until DICE actually tosses out the first screen of the game, which might take a while. The next Battlefield game will launch in holiday 2021, publisher Electronic Arts has reaffirmed in its fiscal report for the second quarter of 2021. The soldiers, the atmosphere, and the guns look very Battlefield-esque, and as the BF3 Blog notes, the HUD elements take specific cues from various BF games, most notably Battlefield 2. To be crystal clear: this is in no way an official screenshot of the game and the source here is suspect to boot.

The image (below) reportedly comes from a Swedish fellow who calls himself "Doe," who snapped a quick one at the home of a DICE developer, obviously off a TV or a monitor. There are 60 Battlefield 3 wallpapers published on this page.
